- Blue Origin has successfully completed its 11th human space flight.
- The riders were A-list celebrities like all-female crew Katy Perry and Gayle King.
- Female astronauts crossed the Kármán line in space and experienced weightlessness.
Katy Perry and Gayle King are now officially an astronaut.
Multi-Platinum singer named and CBS Morning Co-host Blue was part of Origin’s 11th human flight-and earlier on the NS-31 mission of New Shepherd with an all-pimples flight team. It exploded on a flight from ET at 9:30 am from West Texas’s launch site One at 9:30 am that lasted for about 10 minutes.
He was accompanied by Aerospace Engineer Aisha Bowe; Civil rights activist and scientist Amanda Nguyễn; Filmmaker Karian Flynn, and author Lauren Scheme, Blue Origin’s fiancé and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The Udaan also marked the first female-cavalry space crew since 1963.
“This experience has shown me that you never know how much love you have in you, how much love you have to give, and how much you love, how you launch as long as you launch,” Perry said in her post-fall interview on Blue Original Livestream, “being a mother” and “10”
A fully autonomous spacecraft provides the most captivating view of any vehicle of its kind, with a third surface area transcendent. Women flew from the Kármán line at a distance of 62 miles from the planet, which some people consider the border in space, where they experienced a few minutes of weightlessness.
Watching the ground was King’s 50 -year -old best friend, Oprah Winfrey, and Perry’s daughter and fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom. Both were seen visually emotionally, climbing on their face several times.
But all were absolutely planned as the vessel successfully returned to Earth.
“When you get up there, it is really calm and peaceful, and you look at the planet and you think, this is where we have come,” the king said after the flight. “For me, this is such a reminder that we need to do better, be better.”
Winfrey said with pride on his friend’s historical day. The talk show Legend said from the launch site, “I am not proud of it.” It is bigger than just going into space. Anytime we (an airplane) are on a flight, he is in anyone’s lap if there is a little disturbance. He has real, real anxiety flying and it is overcome a wall of fear, a barrier. ”
During the flight, excited reactions and yellows can be heard from the crew on the audio feed of live stream. King said that Perry sang a few lines of “What a Wonderful World” during the flight.
Perry said, “I have covered that song in the past, and obviously my high self is always running the ship.” “I had no clue that one day I would decide a little singing in space, but I think it’s not about me. It’s not about singing my songs. It’s about a collective energy there. It’s about us. It’s about making a place for future women and beings and related.”
