NVIDIA (NVDA) on Monday announced a plan to create a completely supercomputer in the US, in which chipmakers and its partners prepared to invest $ 500 billion in the American AI infrastructure over the next four years.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in a release, “The world’s AI Infrastructure engines are being made for the first time in the United States.”
NVIDIA stated that its supercomputers in Texas are being built in partnership with manufacturing plants, Foxconn and Vistron, ready for production in the next 12 to 15 months.
The chipmaker said its blackwell chips have already started production in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) features in Arizona.
Nvidia shares were about 1% less in recent trading, and have fallen by about 18% since the beginning of the year, as concerns about tariffs and other factors have weighed technical veterans.
