Walthhab’s ranking evaluated the nine largest American airlines and two regional airlines and evaluated the carrier in 14 separate matrix. The metrics were within all the following four categories: goods and departure, animal phenomena, in-flight comfort and cost, and security. Based on this evaluation, Spirit Airlines came to the top, scoring 69.12 out of 100.

Walthhab Ranking also named the best airline for other more specific categories, including the cheapest airline, the most reliable airline and the safest airline. Spirit Airlines was designated the cheapest airline, Delta air lines were designated the most reliable airline, and Jetb Airways and Hawaiian Airlines were tied to the most comfortable airlines. Skywest Airlines, United Airlines, and Environment Tied to the best airline for all pets, and Spirit Airlines again topped the top as the safest airline.

If any airlines want to improve their ranking in the list of Walthhab in 2026, there are some easy ways to do so. One that will benefit both airlines and passengers? Keep improving flight reliability by reducing the delay.
