Japanese officials will talk about trade in Washington on Wednesday, President Donald Trump said- but they will not discuss all this.
Trump said to a morning position on truth social, “Japan is coming to talk on tariffs, military support costs and ‘business fairness’.” Trump said that the President will participate in the talks with the Commerce Secretary Howard Lutenik and Treasury Secretary Scott Besant.
Meetings represent the latest developments as Trump called for a 90-day stagnation in the “mutual” tariff. Under that tariff proposal, the administration specially called for a 24% tariff on imports from Japan. According to the previous comments of the administration, both governments can be implemented even if they fail to reach a deal.
