In an air travel shakeup, two major airlines announced a new cooperation this week. The dubbed “Blue Sky,” United and Jetbu, are partnered to fly continuously of the airline’s loyalty program, which are more ways to earn and use more ways to enjoy any airline status allowance earned by you.
While the partnership is slated to offer a ton allowance and new methods to maximize its points, the features are not all rolling out at once. In fact, most mutual benefits are expected from members of the loyalty program that they are not yet an official launch date. Airlines said the time on the rollout of these benefits would be announced later this year.
The lack of official launch dates for these features is due to the fact that the partnership is still pending the regulator review. If the cooperation deal is not considered a violation of the antitrust laws, here you can expect to roll out this year or at the end of next year.

What do we know about United and JetB Partnership
For customers, the biggest news emanating from United and Jetb Partnership is the ability to use or use or use miles on flights with the airline. This award will greatly expand your access to deals and will give you flexibility to earn more on a broad network of flights – without dealing with all transfer fees.
But even without the loyalty program allowances, the new partnership is ready to bring new flight options for passengers. As part of the coalition, for example, JFK and Newark will share access to slots at JFK and Newark Airports in the United New York region.

Kennedy International Airport was once a united hub, but the airline had to suspend its flights from New York Airport due to stringent post-pandemic competition from other carriers at the end of 2022. Both airlines will remain independent, set their prices and manage their own schedule and network. Both are simply cooperating with each other.
This freedom is important to protect this new alliance from legal investigation. Anyone who now recalls the Difunction Jetb and the American Alliance may remember that the partnership was disintegrated by the federal courts, which ruled that the terms of that coalition violated the no-confidence laws.

If you are a jetblue Trueblue member, there are some allowances here that you can eventually expect when you fly with United Airlines. (Note that there is no word yet when you will be able to enjoy these allowances on united flights.)
- The same priority check-in privilege gives you a grant on Jetb flights.
- The same priority safety screening gives you a grant at your Trulyst Mosaic status at airports.
- Trulyu Mosaic 1 member board with Group 2 on United Flights, while all other mosaic levels with Group 1.
- A free check bag, and priority bag handling on United Flights.
- The same eligibility to book preferred seats or upgrade the Economy Plus seats (equal to Jetb’s Enemore seats) that you currently enjoy with your mosaic position.
What does Blue Sky Cooperation for MileagePlus customers on Jetbu
If you are currently a United MileagePlus member, it is mentioned here how some of your membership and privilege will translate into Jetbu flights under the new partnership. (Note that these allowances may not yet be available to you on Jetbu Booking, but Airlines are planning to announce more concrete time later this year.)
- The same priority check-in and priority security privilege gives you a grant to your current mileagePlus premiere level.
- Group B is with Group C with premiere silver board, while Group B is with Premier Gold Flair Board. If you have a premiere platinum or 1K status, you board Jetb with Group A.
- A free check bag on Jetbu flights, and priority bag handling.
- The same eligibility to book preferred seats or upgrade the Evnmore seats (equivalent to Jetb’s United Economy Plus seats) that you currently enjoy with your mosaic position.
New Blue Sky allowances rolled for both Jetbu and United Flyers
In addition to either the ability to earn and use miles from mutual allowances to fly continuously with the status of either airline on the airline, Blue Sky will create a well -organized booking experience and new features for both customers.
Some highlights have been highlighted in this week’s announcement:
- You will be able to see both United and Jetb Flight Options while booking on the airline website. This will make it easier to compare options and find the best travel deals on your journey, although it means that if you have an aircraft preference then you should pay close attention during booking.
- Jetbu’s Pasley platform will host the travel booking facilities of United, including all hotels, vacation packages, rented car booking and travel insurance options, currently available on United’s website. This step does not consolidate rival travel booking websites, but makes it easy for you to book. Currently, United’s site is divided into separate services for hotels, cars, cruises and vacation packages. Once it is migrated in Pasley, you will be able to plan and book your entire journey in a platform.

Can you merge your mileagepolas and trillu points into an account?
No: When you either redeem the balance on the airline, you will not be able to fully add your existing accounts.

While no official announcement on these details is yet out, it is likely that it will act like other partnership agreements. That is, a mileagePlus member who books a flight on any other joint partner, will earn mileagePlus mile, not partner’s marks.
For those enrolled in both programs, it will probably come down to which loyalty you attach the membership number of the program to you in reservation. When you cannot merge accounts, you should still give you flexibility to add whatever balance based on your goals.
Nevertheless, you have to wait on the airlines to provide more information on how you will work before adjusting your income strategy accordingly.
Can members of the United Club reach Jetb Lounge and vice versa?
This is another detail that we are still waiting on the airlines to clarify. However, it is suspicious.
